Biography

Jesse is an award-winning film and television composer based in Venice, California. Growing up in a musical family in Kennebunkport, Maine, Jesse began playing mandolin and piano before he could walk. As a teen, he began composing his own music and experimenting with sounds from rock, classical and jazz. His love of cinema and music led him to Los Angeles, where he honed his composing skills working for great composers like Thomas Newman and collaborating with some of the best scoring musicians in Hollywood.

Today, Jesse is an established composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer who has worked on more than 50 feature films from studio blockbusters to independent documentaries. Currently, he is the series composer for Bosch, the popular and longest running episodic drama from Amazon Studios based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling detective book series, entering its seventh season.

Other composing credits include the recent untitled Drew Goddard project featuring comedian Nate Bargatze, the Michael Moore documentary Fahrenheit 11/9, the LeBron James docuseries The Greatness Code, the dark feature Imprisoned starring Laurence Fishburne, the comedy A Haunted House 2, action thrillers Ca$h and Game of Death, the supernatural thriller I Will Follow You Into the Dark, and the award-winning surf documentary Splinters. In addition to his film and television scores, Jesse’s music, sounds (and sometimes singing) can be heard in movie trailers, commercials, films and television shows through his music collective Agami.
